Learn to Surf

Location:Cocoa Beach, FL
Event Date: September 12th

Sign Up Deadline:
September 4th
Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting: September 8th @7pm
Trip Cost: $20

Event Description:

The Florida summer is best spent surfing at the beach.  Take some time out and learn to surf at Cocoa Beach.  OA will teach you the basics of surfing.  Cost includes: food, transportation, t-shirt, equipment and instruction. No experience necessary to surf.

SNPS: Hontoon Island State Park Kayaking

Location:Hontoon Island, FL
Event Date: September 13th

Event Description:

Spend the day kayaking around Hontoon Island, located in the St. Johns River in Volusia County! This is the first of OA’s State and National Park Series, come explore your state as never before while enjoying nature and history in solitude.

Cost: $250 if student needs dive gear; $200 if student brings own dive gear (BCD, Gauges, Regulator, & Wetsuit)
Outdoor Adventure is hosting a SCUBA class for 8 participants on a first come first serve basis. Upon successful completion of the course, UCF students will get a lifetime PADI Open Water SCUBA certification.
Maximum of 8 students.

Event Description:

Leave your cell phones behind, escape traffic and relax in UCF’s closest state park. This is the 2nd trip of OA’s State and National Park Series! Located at the headwaters of the Wekiva River, the beautiful vistas within this park offer a glimpse of what Central Florida looked like when Timucuan Indians fished and hunted these lands. Kayak down the Wekiva River and see the sights and sounds nature has to offer and have an overnight primitive adventure in the camping right off the river!
Cost includes: food, transportation, t-shirt, equipment, and lodging.

Fall Foliage

Location:Bryson City, NC
Event Date: October 23rd - 25th

Event Description:

In one of our “tried and true” trips, we will encounter firsthand the changing of the leaves from green to red.  OA will be cruising down the Nantahala River in inflatable kayaks, will enjoy the foliage firsthand by hiking and on horseback.Cost includes: transportation, meals, equipment, lodging, and t-shirt. Maximum of 12 participants. 

Ski Trip

Event Description:

OA is heading west again!  Breckenridge here we come.  Expect to have a gorgeous view and lots of fun.  This town will have cool shops and great scenery. Cost includes: transportation, lodging, t-shirt, rentals, and lift tickets. Maximum of 21 students.

Halloween Full Moon Paddle & Camping

Location:High Springs, FL
Event Date: October 30th - 31st

Event Description:

Join OA to take advantage of the full moon on the eve of Halloween to have a relaxing paddle along the upper stretches of the Santa Fe. See nocturnal creatures, experience the awesome quiet and marvel at the reflection of the moon over the still water.  We will end our night camping and carving pumpkins. Cost includes: transportation, meals, equipment, lodging, and t-shirt. Maximum of 14 students

Mountain Biking & Camping

Location:Ocala, FL
Event Date: November 7th - 8th

Sign Up Deadline:
Octiber 30th
Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting: November 3rd @7pm
Trip Cost: $60.00; $30.00 for those who bring their own bike

Event Description:

If you think Florida is all flat, guess again.  Ocala has wide drops, jumps and roll-ins for mountain biking.  Some biking experience is necessary.  Difficulty ranges from beginner to advance.  Rentals are included but feel free to bring your own bike for a lower rate.
Cost includes: transportation, rentals, meals, t-shirt, and lodging.
Maximum of 10 students

Spring Break Scuba Certicication & Dive Trip

Location: Grand Bahamas Island
Event Date: March 7th - 11th
