Group Exercise Class Descriptions
20 - 20 - 20: This hour long class will offer you a variety of different types of workout techniques all in 20 minute sections. It could be 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strengthening, and 20 minutes of abs. Really, anything is possible and it is a class that is guaranteed to keep your interest.
Aqua Aerobics: Get wet and wild with water aerobics. There's no better way to get fit and stay healthy than with this safe low impact workout in the RWC's very own Leisure pool.
Ballet: Have you always wanted to take ballet but have never had the chance? Well, here's your chance! No experience required- all levels welcome. Come and learn to be a prima ballerina and dance your way to fun.
Ballet-n-Tone: This Ballet style class focuses on toning and strengthening your "ballet" muscles to get that perfect ballet body.
Boot Camp: Need a new way to revamp your old workout? This military style class provides a full body work out that includes a wide variety of exercise techniques. It will include cardiovascular, strength, agility and more! Come and test your strength and endurance!
Breakdancing: Breakdancing is a mix of many art forms including hip hop, gymnastics and yoga. This class is not taught as a formal dance class. It is taught on an individual basis, meaning you are taught more as you learn more, This class is for people of all skill levels - from beginner to advanced. No dance experience necessary! Breakdancing is also a great workout for practically every muscle. Come and learn the culture and passion involved in breakdancing!
Circuit Training: This is a method of physical conditioning while moving from one exercise to another. There is a series of different stations and you stay at each for a few minutes then move on to the next.
Hardbodies: Now come on, we all want a "hard body" don't we? Well now it's at your fingertips! This is a special technique class utilizing weight-training exercises that help develop and strengthen the major muscle groups. 
Insane Step: Advanced level. This dynamic exercise program involves stepping up, down, around, and over an adjustable platform.  Combination and variations are added to challenge you both mentally and physically.
Intermediate Step: This class is for students who feel they have the fundamentals and basics of step terminology. Fast-paced and energizing, you'll increase your cardiovascular stamina while learning new and exciting step moves.
Jump Rope: This 30 minute class utilizes the jump rope the entire time. It will not only improve and perfect your jump roping skills, but is sure to whip you into shape!
Kickboxing: This Tae Bo style aerobic class is definitely an exciting, complete body workout designed for all levels of participation. You will kick, punch and sweat your way to a higher fitness level. 
On-the-Ball: A dynamic, full body strength training workout based on using resist-a-balls. Resist-a-balls challenge your core, and your balance, while you work on your major muscle groups.
Pilates: A mind/body experience program that focuses on muscle strength and toning, balance, body alignment, stabilization, and flexibility. It strengthens the entire body utilizing the abdominal, back, hip and postural muscles as the core of each movement.
Relaxation: Relaxation is a class that allows you to take a break from the busy schedule that comes along with college, enjoy relaxed stretches, and clear your mind. Come with loose clothes and socks if that’s most comfortable for you! After leaving this class, you’re guaranteed to feel relaxed as you learn how to de-stress, breath properly, and slow down for an hour!
Salsa: Salsa Class teaches the students variety of steps based on Salsa "en Clave" or "On Two". The class focuses the attention on the student learning and execution of steps. It is ideal for anyone who is interested in dance. We do a variety of body isolation and foot work based on African movement that evolve from the Caribbean. The class is a lot of fun and in addition of getting a work out, you will learn a lot about dance in the Latin American Culture.
Speed Rope: Get ready for a fast paced 30 minute workout using just a jump rope. This is a very high intensity interval class that will surly make you sweat!
Spinning: An exciting new training program that brings a new dimension to indoor cycling. This group cycling class is a great alternative for aerobic training. Each ride is set to various types of music that will let your mind run free. Give it a spin!
Trick Rope: This is a 45 minute workout using the jump rope the entire time. It is moderate in intensity and will help you learn new jump rope tricks. Along with kicking you butt into shape.
Washboard Abs:  Abs, abs and more abs! This class is designed to get you that six-pack you've always dreamed of.
Yoga: Strengthen, stretch, align the body and increase flexibility using continuous non-stop flowing movements.  Yoga helps relieve physical, mental, and emotional stress, and seeks to bring out the best in you.
Yogalates: It is a mind, body, and spirit experience that focuses on muscle strength, toning, balance, body alignment, stabilization, and flexibility using continually flowing movements.  It strengthens the entire body utilizing the abdominal, back, hip and postural muscles as the core of each movement.  Breathing exercises help to calm and relax the body as well as improve posture and alignment. Yogalates helps to relieve physical, mental, and emotional stress. It promotes peace of mind that results in the ability to relax and experience the union of the mind, body, and spirit.
Zumba: Zumba combines high energy Latin and International music with easy-to-follow dance steps that allow the participants to dance away their worries. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba is not only great for the body; it is also a workout that creates “feel-good” emotions.
