Athletic Training:
1) Each Athletic training staff member will participate in one workshop from the professional development series, as well as developing a session of their own on injury prevention which will include topics such as flexibility, strength, nutrition and overall body awareness.

Aquatics:
1) The aquatic team will request the staff members’ presence at the leadership series. The incentive for them attending the series will be an excuse from the 500 yard swim during in-service.

Building Managers:
1) Each Building Manager that is on the Unit team will present the information from at least one of the sessions they attend. It will enable the team to learn more about leadership that will help in their job and help our Unit team members work on their presentation skills.

Communications Center:
1) Send email to staff with workshop flyer and schedule.
2) Each staff member will develop one personal goal in an area that they believe they have the opportunity to grow professionally.
3) Complete Evaluation -
Fitness:
1) The fitness staff will encourage all employees to attend the scheduled workshop series on personal and professional development to help introduce balance into their lives
2) Specifically, we will have 10 employees show up to no less than 5 sessions before the end of the Spring 2009 semester
3) Also, we will appoint one employee (of the 10) to provide an overview of the workshops at our monthly staff meetings. -
Intramural sports/RWC Park:
1)Intramural Sports Supervisors and RWC Park Attendants must attend at least two of the Personal Development Workshops in order to be eligible for each staff's respective employee of the year award.

Outdoor Adventure:
1)Each Lead will set aside time during their respective area's staff meetings to discuss the upcoming RWC workshop series.
2) We will market for the workshop series through the use of flyers.
3) We will post information about the workshop series on the message board. -
Member Services:
1)Present workshop sessions and expectations at staff meetings.
2) Staff will be asked to attend two sessions and will be rewarded as a team when everyone has attended their workshop.
3) Students will present the information learned during a staff meeting.
4) Record keeping will be kept through each area by using a spreadsheet. -
Marketing:
1) Create flyer to send to staff via e-mail with workshop schedule

Sport Club Council:
1) Build a workshop session into one of the Sport Club Council meetings (i.e., managing stress) for the spring semester.
2) All Sport Club Council Executive Board members will attend at least 1 workshop each.
3) Provide workshop topic/dates at SCC Meeting.
Student Involvement-

Athletic Training:
1) Athletic Training staff will track students who attend open clinic hours by collecting data that can help pinpoint groups or organizations that don’t normally use this service and implement one outreach program or event during the Spring semester to target these individuals.

Aquatics:
1) To determine the users of the aquatic facilities the aquatic staff will have a short survey passed out or placed at the entrance to the pools. These surveys will determine demographics of users and, therefore, will show areas that are not represented. This will allow marketing and programs to be targeted to those audiences.

Building Managers:
1) To determine the users of the RWC the Building Manager team will work with Donovan and SGA to create an online survey to be sent to the entire student body. These surveys will determine demographics of users and help answer other assessment/satisfaction related questions. The survey will identify areas of campus that are not represented equally in facility use. This will allow marketing staff and program areas to targeted those audiences.

Communication Center:
1) Attend Monthly RSO Meetings to promote what the RWC Offers.
2) Get statistics for facility usage - Fall 07, Spring 08, and Summer 08 -
Fitness:
1) The fitness staff will poll two different areas of fitness by the end of Fall 2008 semester:
a) The weight floor participants
b) Group Exercise and Spin participants
2) We will review the demographics and determine our weak areas. We speculate, that the figures for female participants will be low on the weight floor and male participants will be low in group exercise and spin classes, but cannot yet speak to ethnicity or educational path
3) Using the results from our polls, we will provide programs and promotions that target weaker populations. This will help promote student involvement in all areas of fitness
4) These efforts will be completed before the end of Spring 2009 semester -
Intramural Sports/RWC Park:
1) Evaluate statistics/demographics of IM participants and Park Users. We will compare this data analysis to the general student population. From there we will decide on an outreach program or event

Member Services:
1) Work with Late Knights to hand out questionnaires.
2) Attend RSOs to hand out questionnaires.
3) Based on the information attained have an Amazing Race involving the non-user groups promoting the different programs and facilities offered by the RWC. -
Marketing:
1) Implement the marketing plans for “area” Outreach events
2) Get statistics for facility usage e.g. Fall ’07, Spring’07 and Summer’07 -
Outdoor Adventure:
1) We will assess student participation in all areas of OA (except for Trips) by circulating the OA scanner between the areas.

Sport club council:
1) Poll for Sport Club Council members about diversity (background, major, ethnic group, etc…) placed on Sport Club Council website and sent out in email from Sport Club Council Recruitment Coordinator.
2) Use winter break to build an “outreach” strategy for the spring semester.
Communication-

Athletic Training:
1) Athletic Training Coordinator and GAs will present information from all UNIT meetings during athletic training staff meetings, to keep all athletic trainers informed of items related to athletic training and the RWC overall

Aquatics:
1) Cristina Oyola will make an announcement at the aquatic staff meetings about the items discussed at the monthly Unit meetings. Victoria will also include this in her Weekly Guard Gazette e-mail newsletter.

Building Managers:
1) Lamar Dunlap will be our Unit team representative. He will make an announcement at the Building Manager team meetings about the items discussed at the monthly Unit meetings.

Communication Center:
1) The communication center will create and send UNIT meeting informational quizzes to random front line employees (at least 50 employees after each meeting) to track the success of UNIT team members in sharing of important information provided during the meetings.

Fitness:
1) The fitness staff will forward all UNIT meeting minutes on to our staff to bridge the gap between UNIT members and regular employees
2) Mat Pinder will share important topics from the UNIT meetings with all employees at each fitness monthly staff meeting.
3) As stated above, we will appoint one employee (of the 10 that are attending the balance workshops) to provide an overview of the workshops at our monthly staff meetings (this too will bridge any gaps) -
Intramural Sports/RWC Park:
1) Include a "Unit Recap" within every Supervisor meeting to relay key points.
2) Provide a questionnaire to the IM Supervisors and strive for an 80% passing rate. -
Member Services:
1) Create the UNIT GAZETTE by based on minutes and other observations from the Unit meeting.
2) UNIT GAZETTE should be issued to staff members via e-mail, message board, or staff meetings. -
Marketing:
1) Send staff members Unit meeting notes
2) Create “Employee Only” link on RWC website to include the following information:
a) Employee Manual
b) Message Board
c) Evaluation Forms
d) Assessment tools

Outdoor Adventure:
1) Once a month, we will create a newsletter that summarizes, and presents in an interesting fashion, that month's Unit meeting. Each Lead will post this newsletter on their respective area's section of the message board.

Sport club council:
1) Including Unit Team updates at bi-weekly Sport Club Supervisor meetings and addressing Unit concerns directly towards the Sport Club Supervisors during office hours.
2) Include Unit Updates into Steve Schade’s agenda topic for SCC Meetings in November and continuing each month thereafter.

Athletic Training:
1) Athletic training staff will work with Risk Management Coordinator and other staff to develop mock emergency scenarios to educate the RWC staff and pinpoint problems that arise during emergency response.
2) Athletic training staff will include in-service trainings during staff meetings on new trends in athletic training and new evaluation techniques -
Aquatics:
1) Aquatics currently have monthly in-service practices and wears hip packs containing essential equipment for medical emergencies.

1) The Building Managers will have monthly in-service practices and wear hip packs containing essential equipment for medical emergencies.

Communication Center:
1) Schedule one response drill in the fall and one in the spring semesters.
2) Review one emergency response scenario in each staff meeting. -
Fitness:
1) Erin Stevens will provide a CPR/First Aid “Tip of the week” to all employees via email. The email will start following Erin’s CPR/First Aid instructor certification during the weekend of November 14, 2008.
2) Implemented as soon as possible, at every monthly staff meeting we will provide scenarios and role play opportunities for our employee to participate in. This kind of hands on experience will keep our employees current with the expectations we have for safety. -
Intramural Sports/RWC Park:
1) Include risk management topics in every Supervisor meeting.
2) Implement a drill on timed reaction in clearing the Park to a Thorguard warning.
3) Establish regular "dummy drops" for the IM and Park Staff. -
Member Services:
1) Incorporate safety tips in MS Newsletter.
2) Have first hands on emergency in the Fall semester.
3) Have second hands on emergency in the Spring semester. -
Marketing:
1) Attend one practice lab per month
2) Review one scenario during each staff meeting -
Outdoor Adventure:
1) We will continue with the mandatory monthly practice labs.
2) Trips will continue teaching general OA skills and safety skills through OAK sessions.
3) The Challenge Course will continue with their regular rescue training and hard skills on the course.
4) The Tower will implement dummy drops. -
Sport club council:
1) Working with the risk management staff to create an injury prevention workshop during at least one Sport Club Council meeting.
2) Ceasing to fund and/or allow practice time to all clubs without current CPR/AED and First Aid certified officers.
3) Have each club build a risk management plan by the end of the spring semester.
